Our Team
Chris Faulkner
Chris is a Brevard College alum with degrees in Environmental Studies and Geology. After globe-trotting and rock climbing, he settled back in Brevard, Western North Carolina, diving deep into carpentry, home building, and timber framing. In 2008, he founded Faulkner Woodworking, which evolved into Wheelhouse in 2017. When he’s not in the workshop, he’s out in the woods, biking, or spending time with his wife Anna, an Occupational Therapist, and their two sons, Charlie and Jasper.
Josh Shober
Josh brings 17 years of construction experience to the Wheelhouse team. An Appalachian State grad, he spent a decade in Jacksonville, FL, focusing on commercial projects before returning to Western North Carolina’s mountains. He partnered with Chris in 2019 to take Wheelhouse to the next level. Licensed and LEED-accredited, Josh handles Project Management and Estimating. Off the clock, you’ll find him coaching soccer, attending swim meets, or cycling through the forest with his wife Kate and their two daughters.
